World Water Day is held annually on 22nd March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
In 2014, the United Nations System – working closely with its Member States and other relevant stakeholders – has decided to bring its attention to the water-energy nexus, particularly addressing to best practices that can make a water- and energy-efficient 'Green Industry' a reality.
For this reason IIS Garibaldi students of some 3rd and 4th forms have developed research on this theme. Why don't you take a look at their projects? Pls open WWD 2014 Projects page.

As IIS Garibaldi in Macerata (Italy) really aims at achieving the objectives of Green Education for sustainable development, the same students also participated in this annual initiative promoted by Caterpillar - Rai Radio 2 on Energy Saving (click here to download poster, podcast & material of the program). |
