World Water Day 2016: Water for people, Water by people
Water is our life, as we all depend upon it. Job opportunities in water-related fields have skyrocketed in recent years and this occupational trend will continue into the future. Drinking water is becoming more and more scarce. Agriculture, wildlife, fisheries and industries need water, too. This means that if present and future generations want to play an active social role, they must work and find sustainable solutions, renovating traditional activities and defining new water sector careers (e.g. Water Sommelier).
New water jobs can involve both physical field work and office project work, focusing on life habits, municipal water supplies, agricultural activities, engineering, hydrology, management of wastewater, wetlands, dams and flood control, water pollution control sector, oceanography, aquaculture and much more.
This section of our website wants to celebrate the World Water Day 2016 reflecting on the paramount importance of this issue. Why don’t you enjoy our research?
