World Water Day 2019
22nd March each year is global World Water Day. It is a mean of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
The theme in 2019 is 'Leaving no one behind': Water is a Human Right.
Our pupils have carefully analyzed this theme. Their research has improved their awareness about the fact that marginalized groups, women, children, refugees, indigenous peoples, disabled people, populations affected by natural disasters and many others, are often ignored and face enormous difficulties, as they try to access and manage the safe water they need. Our students have also realized some posters to share their critical reflections on this crucial issue and their exhibition will be open 18-23 March 2019 at the Agraria School in Macerata, Italy (free admission, open daily, event shared also on https://www.worldwaterday.org/events/).
